Ms. Shelley Newman

“Wherever you are, be right there. We get to generate healing in that very space. Whether therapy seems scary or it has been a familiar experience for you, the clarity and tools gained in this process are well worth it! I customize a range of therapeutic techniques depending on your needs. I see you as an individual, not a diagnosis.

I am experienced in multiple therapeutic approaches (psychoanalytic, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma and family systems theory). These are evidence-based approaches to treatment that focus on helping clients holistically—mind, body, and spirit. I work with the unconscious, listening to dreams, and daily life. I prioritize working collaboratively and ensuring that your needs are met in our work.”

Lana Schmitt, LMSW

Prior to beginning my work as a therapist, I spent seven years providing direct support services to children and families involved in the child welfare system. I attended my undergraduate and graduate programs at Arizona State University, where I earned my Masters degree in Family Studies & Human Development in 2017 and a Master of Social Work degree in 2020. My clinical background includes community mental health work for the birth-to-five population, as well as individual/group therapy with adolescents. Additionally, I have earned clinical practice certification from the Harris Institute of Infant Mental Health to incorporate a trauma-informed lens into my work. I utilize the attachment theory framework to focus upon the development of safe, healthy interpersonal relationships within my therapeutic approach with people of all ages. I enjoy helping clients improve their self-esteem, build confidence, and develop healthy coping skills in order to live their most comfortable, authentic lives.
